About DAA

DAA Leads the Way in Dermatology

Dermatology Associates of Atlanta has a comprehensive facility with eight centers on-site dedicated to taking care of your skin, hair, and nails. Our providers have over 150 years of combined experience in their fields, each of which deals with a different part of your body and as such, a different portion of your skin.

Best-of-2017-Dermatology

The appearance of your skin is a sign of how healthy you are on the inside. It protects other organs and controls your overall body temperature. There are thousands of skin diseases (including skin cancer) that can cause harm to the body. All of our physicians at DAA are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to detect and treat any skin, hair, or nail disease. Our doctors work closely with each center to ensure the right combination is prescribed to give our patients the best possible results for their skin ailment.

Patients will come in with an innocuous question about a funny-looking mole, uncontrollable acne, a hair loss problem, an embarrassing fingernail fungus, or birthmark; and DAA can offer numerous treatment options. You may opt for a cosmetic procedure to improve scarring or wrinkles; we can satisfy that desire as well. Dermatology Associates of Atlanta prides itself on being the one-stop-shop for skin care from head to toe.

Whether you would like to take a minimally invasive path and try oral or topical medications, visit our medical spa, or look into laser treatments, we will prescribe the best treatment for your personal needs.

Skin Cancer Procedures

An annual skin screening can save your life and is vital in preventing skin cancer. The sooner preventative measures are taken; the better your chances are it won’t spread. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, skin cancer is the most prevalent of all types of cancers. It is estimated that more than one million Americans develop skin cancer every year. With that in mind, we offer a wide range of surgical and non-surgical treatments to eliminate this disease. Mole removal, cryosurgery, photodynamic therapy, lasers, and medications are just some of the alternatives available to treat them. Please contact our office for a skin screening or diagnosis and treatment of any skin problem.

MOHS Surgery

If skin cancers worsen, then surgery will be necessary to remove them. Treatment of skin cancers utilizing the MOHS surgery technique is one of our areas of expertise. This micrographically controlled surgery is extremely accurate and necessary to ensure complete removal of the cancer, allowing for the best possible aesthetic outcome. This procedure is performed in our highly accredited surgical suite.
