According to a study on cosmetic skin treatments recently released by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), consumers are very happy with wrinkle-relaxing injections, soft-tissue facial fillers and body sculpting treatments. For the second consecutive year, 90% of the 8,300 people surveyed report being satisfied with these types of treatments, with the number of those reportedly being “extremely satisfied” increasing.
In the current market, the types of wrinkle-relaxing injections available are three safe, powerful, FDA-approved products: Botox® and Dysport®. Consumers reported the most overall satisfaction to ASDS with these types of injections to soften forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Injections like this typically last 4 to 12 months depending on the specific brand.
Equally satisfying to surveyed consumers were soft-tissue fillers such as Belotero®, Juvéderm®, Radiesse®, Restylane®, and Sculptra® –which happen to be some of the most popular minimally-invasive treatments for fine facial lines and wrinkles used at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta (DAA). Fillers work to smooth wrinkles and folds, add facial volume and can be used in combination with many other treatments.
Patients reported high satisfaction with body sculpting treatments including tumescent liposuction, fat freezing with cryolipolysis, and laser lipolysis. We offer all of these treatments at DAA, including non-invasive CoolSculpting® for fat freezing and SlimLipo™ for laser lipolysis. With these treatments, patients can enjoy fat reduction and increased self-esteem without the downtime associated with more invasive surgical procedures.
