With this in mind, we are incredibly proud to announce that Dr. Scott Karempelis and Dr. Ashley Curtis have both been named Top Doctors in Atlanta in the field of Dermatology for 2024.

For anyone unfamiliar with this organization, each year the staff at Castle Connolly selects what they deem to be the highest level of medical professionals in cities around the country. This is done through a panel of physicians and medical professionals in a wide variety of specialties and fields including dermatology, general family medicine, pediatrics, and much more. The final nominees are selected by their peers in each specific field, based on factors including experience, patient care, professional achievement, research, and innovation within the field.

Dr. Scott Karempelis is a board-certified dermatologist who joined Dermatology Associates of Atlanta as a partner in 1986. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Karempelis completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Although he boasts a wide variety of specialty areas, Dr. Karempelis is a true expert in the field of cosmetic laser treatments, as well as Mohs surgery for skin cancer. He works hard to remain on the cutting-edge of the latest dermatological technology. Dr. Karempelis is a member of The American Medical Association, The American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, & The American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Ashley Curtis is a board-certified dermatologist who is also one of our partners here at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta. An expert in both dermatological care and dermatologic surgery, Dr. Curtis brings a unique blend of knowledge and care to every patient she treats. Dr. Curtis earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia Institute of Technology before earning her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She is an expert in treating hair loss, and is one of the founders of The Center for Women’s Hair Loss. Dr. Curtis is a member of The American Academy of Dermatology & The American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.
