2023 is almost over, and we can hardly believe it. It’s certainly been another exciting and eventful year for us here at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta (DAA). We’ve been providing the best-available dermatology treatments and services to the Atlanta area for over 40 years, and every year brings its own unique changes, challenges, and new beginnings. And this year was certainly no exception. Before the year is officially through, we wanted to look back at some of the most notable things that happened here at DAA over the last 12 months:

2023 was another year of providing exceptional skin care from head to toe for our patients. This included meeting so many new patients for the first time, and the return of so many familiar faces who have been with us for years now. Regardless of whether they came to us for a routine annual skin exam, for a more pressing concern like skin cancer, an injectable treatment, a laser treatment to remove a tattoo, a hair loss issue, or whatever else, we were proud and humbled to be trusted by so many incredible patients this year and can’t wait to continue providing the best-possible care we can into the future.

New Additions to Our Team

Part of providing outstanding dermatological care to as many patients as we can is expanding our team with more experienced medical professionals. This year, we added two fantastic new providers to our family:

Certified physician assistant Ines Karempelis joined our practice and brought a wealth of knowledge and years of experience working with patients. Ines’ medical background, including working as a PA in cardiology, gives her a unique and extensive training background, in addition to her skills of diagnosing and treating common skin care issues such as acne and dermatitis. We were also thrilled to welcome licensed medical aesthetician Caroline Awbrey back to our Skin Medics™ Medical Spa. Caroline specializes in helping patients develop their own successful skincare regimens, as well as assisting them in improving their skin health over time. We feel so lucky to have both Ines and Caroline as part of our practice and want to thank them for all their hard work this year!

New Cosmetic Treatments Available

We’re on a continued mission to bring our patients the best and most advanced treatment options and techniques for a wide variety of cosmetic skin care concerns. This year, we were happy to add more outstanding treatments to our practice:

We began offering Ellacor® Skin Tightening, an advanced, FDA-cleared skin tightening treatment that uses signature Micro-Coring™ Technology. We’ve already helped many patients achieve excellent aesthetics results with both of these new treatments and will continue to be on the lookout for even more new cosmetic services that meet our standards for patients.

2023 may be behind us, but even better days lay ahead for our practice which will allow us to help our patients even more.
