For board-certified dermatologist Dr. Scott Karempelis, the life-changing possibility of taking care of a patient’s skin problem, whether it’s cancer or cosmetic, is inspiring. In the nearly 30 years that Dr. Karempelis, affectionately known as Dr. K., has been a founding partner of Dermatology Associates of Atlanta (DAA), he’s taken on many roles within the practice. Known for his friendly, witty, and knowledgeable demeanor, Dr. Karempelis serves as the Medical Director of DAA’s Laser Institute of Georgia, which offers 18 medical lasers.  The vast selection of lasers available in this center treat anything from skin cancers, pre-cancers, acne, and rosacea, to removing unwanted hair, veins, brown spots, tattoos, scarring and wrinkles.  With Dr. Karempelis’ expertise, he helps to educate patients on the best ways to get the most out of their laser treatments.
