Dermatology Associates of Atlanta adds SlimLipo™ to the menu of non-invasive fat reduction procedures and hosts Coolsculpting® event to educate patients on fat reduction and skin tightening options.

For areas of more substantial fat than suitable for Coolsculpting®, DAA is now offering FDA approved laser lipolysis method SlimLipo™. This procedure uses two laser wavelengths of light: one targets and liquefies unwanted fat cells for removal through tiny metal tubes (micro cannulas), the other heats and contracts the collagen fibers in the treatment area(s) to tighten the lax skin left after excess fat cells are removed. Traditionally only accomplished through a series of cosmetic procedures, one designed to remove fat and the other to trim excess skin, SlimLipo™ produces a slimmer, tighter silhouette with just one treatment and half the downtime (typically 2-3 weeks) associated with similar body plastic surgery procedures. Additionally, SlimLipo™ patients are typically able to return to work within two to three days.

Different from other laser liposuction methods like SmartLipo™, Dermatology Associates of Atlanta’s SlimLipo™ laser technology has the distinct ability to target the fat cells within the treatment area instead of the body’s water molecules like other laser fat reduction technology does.
