Dermatology

At Dermatology Associates of Atlanta, our goal is to be your ultimate resource for “skin care from head to toe.” While we offer a wide range of cosmetic and medical treatments in our nine specialty centers, our Dermatology Center is the cornerstone of it all.

The Dermatology Center is where our highly skilled providers examine, diagnose, counsel, and treat patients for numerous skin conditions, including these common issues.

Skin Cancer

Approximately 20% of us will have skin cancer at some point in our lives. While most of these cases won’t become life-threatening, that is only the case if you discover and treat the condition promptly. Our providers at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta offer ongoing skin cancer screenings in addition to further testing to identify potential skin cancers.

For patients who have skin cancer, we also provide a variety of treatment options to give you the ideal treatment you need. This can range from non-surgical options like cryotherapy and topical chemotherapy to the advanced and precise Mohs skin cancer removal surgery.

Acne

Acne is the most common skin condition, and every case is unique. To efficiently and safely treat your acne, you need a dermatology specialist who can determine the factors that are causing your acne. For instance, we can determine if you have bacterial acne, hormonal acne, or other types of acne. Our providers can understand the nuances of your specific acne and develop a customized treatment plan for your needs.

Dermatitis

Dermatitis is actually a term that refers to several conditions that inflame the skin. For example, one type of dermatitis is irritant contact dermatitis: a rash that appears when you come into contact with an irritating chemical or material. Other types of dermatitis include eczema, stasis dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis, and more.

At our Dermatology Center, our board-certified dermatologists and dermatology physician assistants will assess each patient’s dermatitis and provide a specialized treatment plan for your condition.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a condition that affects approximately 16 million Americans. In people with rosacea, the blood vessels in the face react to triggers and cause the person to look red and flushed. While it is a chronic condition, customized treatments keep your facial redness to a minimum. Our team at the Dermatology Center will evaluate your rosacea and provide the direct treatments you need to minimize your symptoms.

While the conditions above are among the most common conditions we treat, they barely scratch the surface of the care our Dermatology Center provides. We examine, diagnose, and treat countless skin conditions, and this center is often our patients’ first stop to getting a diagnosis for their skin and addressing the problem.

At Dermatology Associates of Atlanta, our aim is to be your go-to medical home for all your skin, hair, and nail health needs. Our Dermatology Center is a crucial part of this goal, allowing us to provide all the essential exams and skin treatments you need for healthier, glowing skin.
